Description Gateway Rehab has an outstanding opportunity at our Washington, PA center for a Nurse Supervisor who provides administrative supervision of the nursing department while adhering to our core mission and values. Responsibilities Completes and documents assessments, nursing diagnoses, and treatment plans. Provides and documents direct patient care. Intervenes in crises and other emergency situations and provides admission phone triage. Provides supervision and direction to RNs and LPNs. Completes performance evaluations and competencies on supervisees in a timely manner. Coordinates orientation and training for newly hired nurses. Plans, implements, and evaluates staff development/education activities for Nursing staff. Determines appropriate nurse staffing needs and prepares Nursing staff work schedules. Assures Nursing services are compliant with The Joint Commission, Department of Health, Department of Welfare, ACA standards and other regulatory bodies. Assists with development, implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures for Nursing services. Sets expectations and productivity measures, develops plans and implements procedures to continually assess and improve the quality of the Nursing services. Intervenes and documents appropriately when an employee demonstrates poor work performance. Works evening and weekend hours as needed. Provides on-call coverage for the Nursing staff. Shares responsibility for other duties, such as, Infection Control, Incident Reports, Quality Improvement Auditing and/or Inventory, or other responsibilities. Performs other duties as required and assigned. Ensures mandatory staffing coverage when necessary to provide a safe treatment environment for Gateway patients. Attends mandatory GRC trainings and in-services. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Competent ability to use various healthcare equipment and measurement devices. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent time management skills. Strong computer skills. Requirements Pennsylvania RN licensure (unrestricted). Current CPR certification. Preferred Requirements One year experience in acute care nursing. Experience in the mental health and drug and alcohol field. Previous Management or supervisory experience. Additional Requirements Pass PA Criminal Background Check. Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Finger Printing clearances. Pass Drug Screen. 2-Step TB Test. Required to remain awake and alert while on duty. Work Conditions Substance Use Disorder Rehab Center Potential high-risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and low-risk exposure to respiratory infectious agents. Moderate physical demands. Significant mental demands include attention to detail and oversight of a department and system-wide processes.
