Responsibilities Under the direction of the RN or LPN, the Nurse Tech facilitates patient care by providing physical care and nursing procedures beyond that of the customary Health Service Tech, but not requiring professional skills and technical knowledge of the RN. The first time each clinical skill is completed, it must be done under the direction of a nurse to ensure competency. Qualifications Education:- Post High School Special TrainingLicensure/Certification/Registration:- BLSSpecial Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English- Actively enrolled in school and completing course work for Associate Degree in Nursing. Must have successfully completed Nursing II or the equivalent from a state accredited RN Program
Responsibilities
The Nurse Tech facilitates patient care by performing physical care and nursing procedures under the direction of an RN or LPN. They ensure clinical competency by completing tasks under the supervision of a nurse during initial training.
