About the unit Greenville Emergency Department is a community-based hospital that is part of the Corewell Healthcare System. The Greenville ED is a certified Primary Stroke Center and Level IIII Trauma Center. There are over 25 care spaces to treat patients with minor to major medical and traumatic emergencies. Interdisciplinary team members collaborate closely to provide relationship-based care for our patients and their loved ones. Nurse Techs work under the direction of an RN to care for our patients. Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. Nurse Tech responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed baths, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients. Responsibilities

The Nurse Tech performs basic patient care skills under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Provider within the emergency department, acting as a collaborative team member. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, checking blood sugars, assisting with mobility, wound care, catheterization, and serving as a safety attendant for patients.
