How you will contribute The Nurse Tech is paired with an RN Preceptor and performs patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN/LPN and does not perform any task that requires a nursing license. The Nurse Tech will perform basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements as needed, and recording intake and output. Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation. The Nurse Tech will report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to the nursing staff. Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly. Additional requirements include: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. In addition, the applicant must have completed the first semester of the RN nursing program and be in good standing. In addition, the applicant must have a minimum of a 2.50 GPA and have two letters of recommendation (one of which has to be from their RN Program Instructor). Responsibilities
The Nurse Tech performs patient care under the supervision of an RN/LPN, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with personal care activities. They report any abnormal findings to the nursing staff and help maintain a clean and orderly environment.
