More about our team We are known for our great teamwork and compassionate nurses. We get many great comments from patients, families and float staff that are on the unit. The manager strives to provide a nice family balance to provide a great place to work for the employees that work on the unit. We have all core staff, no agency or contracted staff with help occasionally from the hospital float pool. We have a 1:5 or 1:6 ratio of nurse to patient. How you’ll contribute A Nurse Technician who excels in this role: Participates in Patient Care Team’s delivery of personalized, efficient care with respect for patient’s spiritual and cultural differences. Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness and cost in delivery of patient care. Orients patient and family to room and call bell. Upon admission, obtains initial vital signs, height and weight. Records daily I & O, vital signs, and food intake into the electronic medical record. Transports patients via appropriate means in a safe, dignified manner. Adheres to patient activity restrictions. Establishes positive relationships with patients/families and reports patient/family concerns accurately and concisely to appropriate care team members. What we’re looking for Applicants should possess High School Diploma or GED.
