How you’ll contribute A Nurse Technician who excels in this role provides essential support to nursing staff by performing basic patient care duties, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients. * Perform basic patient care tasks including hygiene, grooming, and mobility support. * Provide general nursing care such as patient positioning, lifting, turning, and use of assistive equipment. * Assist with toileting using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation. * Take and document vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, and blood pressure, as well as intake and output measurements. * Assist in patient admission, transfer, and discharge, including handling personal belongings. * Maintain a clean and comfortable patient environment. * Respond promptly to patient call lights, telephone, and paging systems. * Perform other related duties as assigned. What we’re looking for * Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. * Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. * Education: Required: High school diploma or equivalent * Experience: Minimum six months of experience in an acute or long-term care facility preferred. * Licenses: CPR/BCLS certification required.
