Nurse Tech-PRN Department: Med Surg 12-hour shifts. Position Summary The Nurse Tech assists Registered Nurses in providing safe, effective, high-quality patient care. Working under the direct supervision of an RN, this role supports daily clinical operations, promotes patient comfort, and ensures accurate documentation and communication within the care team. Education & Licensing Requirements • Education: Graduate of a Registered Nursing Program • License: Nursing Assistant Certificate preferred • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) – must be obtained within 30 days of hire Minimum Work Experience • Previous relevant healthcare experience, or • Completion of foundational clinical skills as a registered nursing student Required Skills • Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Ability to remain effective and professional in a high-stress clinical environment • Ability to take appropriate action based on patient needs and organizational protocols Essential Functions • Provides direct patient care under RN supervision • Performs required documentation accurately and in a timely manner • Maintains equipment and supplies; assists with basic upkeep • Participates in quality assurance and safety initiatives • Communicates effectively within and across departments • Participates in staff education and pursues continuing education • Applies age-specific care principles and adheres to all relevant policies and procedures Non-Essential Functions • Performs other related duties as assigned to support patient care and departmental needs Equal Opportunity Employer (EEOC) We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcome all qualified applicants
