The Barwon Health Inpatient Paediatric Service is now inviting motivated applicants to apply for the Nurse Unit Manager (Parental Leave Cover).

• Overall management of Heath Wing 3 Paediatric Inpatient service at Barwon Health
• Management of operational budget
• Management of rostering according to EBA and reflective of demand
• Management of staff including skill mix and experience
• Convening regular paediatric inpatient services meetings
• Management of poor behaviour in an appropriate manner and escalation of issues as required
• Dissemination of relevant information to staff
• Implementation and monitoring of quality improvement
• Where professional standards are breached ensures that incidents are reported, investigated and recommendations implemented
• Management of daily Human Resource, Occupational Health and Safety and Payroll issues
• Service planning
• Promotion of continuous improvement initiatives for unit
