Hunter Valley Private Hospital- Shortland Nurse Unit Manager – Rehabilitation Ward Full time Hunter Valley Private Hospital is an 83-bed surgical, rehab and medical hospital located at Shortland in Newcastle. The hospital is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated clinician with relevant experience to provide expert leadership and direction to this specialised 34-bed unit. The successful applicant will work within the multidisciplinary team in providing leadership and governance to the inpatient arm of our Rehabilitation programs. The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for the effective management and delivery of evidence based nursing care and is accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources within the unit. As the Nurse Unit Manager your responsibilities will include: Provision of high quality leadership to the Rehabilitation Unit Provision of evidence based nursing care for the treatment of Rehabilitation patients Participation in the development, implementation and evaluation of patient management plans and the overall program Provision of profession-specific consultation and advice to other members of the multi-disciplinary team Liaison with families, the community and other service providers as appropriate Participation in the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and programs as appropriate Contribute to education programs as appropriate Leading the quality management system within the unit Qualifications for Success Mandatory: Bachelor of Science (Nursing)/ Nursing/ or equivalent Post graduate qualification in relevant field of specialty Membership or affiliation with a relevant professional nursing body Desirable: Recognised Leadership or Management Qualification (or evidence of working towards same) Applications close: 18th February 2025 For further enquiries: Rebecca Harvey - Director of Nursing, 02 4944 3743 To Apply: Please click on the 'Apply' button to be taken to our online application form.
