About The Role: The purpose of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is to ensure the clinical care of patients is provided in a person/family centered care manner, within the philosophy, mission and values of the Mater Hospital, Sydney. In conjunction with the ADCS, the position holder will lead operational, financial and a strategic oversight of the SCN. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day functioning of Special Care Nursery (SCN) through the promotion, planning, implementation, coordination of educational programs for all staff working with the Department. About You: Bachelor of Nursing. AHPRA registered. Minimum 5 years recent clinical experience in Level 2 Special Care Nursery or Level 3 Neonatal Unit. Recent experience with CPAP. Tertiary qualification in Neonatal Nursing or management or working towards. One of Sydney’s premier private hospitals. Close by to train stations at North Sydney, St Leonards, and Crows Nest, and buses on Pacific Highway. Core specialties include Obstetrics, Orthopaedics including hip and knee joint replacements, bone and sports injuries, cardiology, cancer care and surgery, lung and vascular medicine, ear, nose and throat surgery, urology, endocrine surgery, and neurosurgery.
