REQUIREMENTS:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years Education, or equivalent is essential.
  • Experience in, or a passion for, outdoor education and forest schools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well within our nursery family.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Nursery Practitioner who shares our passion for outdoor learning, family-centric values, and the hands-on experience of growing. This role is perfect for someone who believes in fostering a strong connection between children and the natural world, and who sees the value in teaching young minds where their food comes from.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver engaging, creative, and educational activities within our ethos, focusing on outdoor learning, forest school practices, and gardening.
  • Promote a family-like atmosphere, ensuring a warm, welcoming environment for all children.
  • Helps engage children to grow fruits and vegetables, integrating these activities into broader learning objectives.
  • Work closely with colleagues to plan and implement a curriculum that supports the physical, emotional, and intellectual development of each child, in alignment with the EYFS framework.
  • Communicate effectively with families about their children’s progress and the unique learning experiences at Kings Burrow
  • Follow and adhere to all policies and safeguarding procedures
