Job Title: Nursery Assistant

Location: 3 Locations-Slough, Maidenhead & Reading
Pay Rates: Starting from £12.08 per hour
Shift Patterns: Full Time 7:30am-18:00pm or Part Time on either 7am-10am or 15:00pm-18:00pm

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BHFT) have multiple opportunities available for Nursery Assistants to join their fast-growing team at either of the following locations: Jack In The Box nursery based in Slough, Kiddies’ Cabin nursery based in Maidenhead and Little Dragons nursery based in Reading.
All the nurseries are managed by BHFT enabling the nurseries to have strong partnerships within the trust which includes all nursery staff having 12 hour Paediatric First Aid training which is refreshed every three years. There is also training available at all nurseries to ensure high level of care for the children, compliance with regulations and that staff regularly update their knowledge of childcare and education. You would be working with a team of hard-working individuals who are passionate about providing a stimulating, friendly and caring environment for the children. We are looking for individuals who can work full time or part time on a temporary basis for a minimum of 3 months to join the NHS Professionals Bank. There may be an opportunity for this to be extended. We are open to candidates from all experiences, ranging from Apprentices to Graduate Nursery Nurses.

Responsibilities

· To provide the best possible care and stimulation for the children of the nursery meeting their physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs in a non-discriminatory manner.
· To work in partnership with parents and encourage their involvement in the aims of the nursery and in all aspects of their child’s care.
· To provide and maintain records as necessary and appropriate, in line with the EYFS Statutory Framework.
· to attend training courses, to ensure that modern, innovated and forward looking practices are maintained and to allow for personal career development.
· To assist in the daily domestic management of the nursery; ensuring that the nursery is kept safe, secure and clean at all times.
