OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a strong commitment to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring that each child receives the care and attention they need to thrive.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children and adults.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage groups of children while maintaining a calm and positive demeanour.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire confidence in children and colleagues alike.
  • A genuine drive to support children’s learning and development through engaging activities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving within the nursery setting.
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare or early years education would be an advantage but are not mandatory.

    Pay: £12.21-£13.63 per hour

  • Provide high-quality childcare by ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive nursery environment.
  • Support children during playtime, meals, and other daily routines, encouraging independence and self-confidence.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery space, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.
  • Observe and record children’s progress, sharing insights with senior staff as needed.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team atmosphere that prioritises children’s needs.
