Level 2/3 childcare qualification required for this position. Please do not apply if you do not have a acceptable qualification to work in nursery and be included in ratio. Thanks . Must have at least two years experience working in a childcare environment.this position is Term Time only. The hours are between Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm part time. Immediate start available for the right person.
To work as a key person and as part of the team under the direction of the manager, and the Deputy in the Managers absence. To provide safe, high quality education and care for young children which meets the individual needs of children attending the setting.
To assist with the planning of the curriculum using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum for guidance. To implement opportunities and experiences using your own initiative for children’s next steps.
To teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulating play experiences. To help set up and tidy away and cleaning duties will be expected. To ensure that children are kept safe and that you understand when to follow safeguarding procedures. To actively participate at team meetings, supervisor meetings and appraisal meetings. To attend training courses as required and to take responsibility for your development. To keep completely confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff, this is acquired as part of the job. To be aware of and adhere to all the setting’s operational policies and procedures, e.g. health and safety, fire precautions, dropping off and collection of children, food safety, cleanliness of the setting, social networking etc. To ensure that adequate records are kept and updated regularly. To promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers. To take part in any fund raising events or other events to promote the nursery. To undertake any other reasonable agreed duties as directed by the Pre-school Manager, in accordance with the setting’s business plan/objectives. Meets minimum wage rate.
