Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. In this role, you’ll help deliver high quality care and education to our children, fostering a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We’re looking for someone who loves working with children - someone who is kind, creative, and committed to helping each child become the best version of themselves. You’ll work closely with our team to plan and deliver fun, educational activities that support every aspect of a child’s development.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support learning and development
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and work colleagues
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and stimulating environment at all times
  • Observe, assess, and record children’s progress accurately
  • Uphold and promote safeguarding policies and child protection procedures
  • Support children with daily routines such as meals, toileting.
  • Attend essential training courses (e.g., First Aid, Food Hygiene, Safeguarding) – all paid for and organised through management
  • Follow nursery policies and stay informed on relevant childcare legislation

REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • A genuine passion for early years education
  • Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and multitask effectively
  • Experience in activity planning and record-keeping
  • Understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities
  • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting (preferred)
