Nursery assistants must have plant knowledge. You will assist customers with plant information, work with gardeners to find plants, and perform plant diagnostics and identification. You will also need to learn and retain information on current products, including uses and advantages/disadvantages. You will groom, prune, and fertilize all plant material to retail quality.
You will work with Nursery Yard Manager to ensure all plants are properly priced and labeled. You will help count plants against the delivery invoice to ensure accuracy, notate quantity adjustments. Help unload delivery trucks, reject material not to nursery standards. You will be required to work Saturday and Sunday plus added days during the week
