We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Nursery Chef to join our team on a temporary basis (approximately 5 weeks). This role is an immediate start, so applicants must be available to begin as soon as possible.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous chef/cook experience (nursery experience preferred but not essential)
• Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to complete)
• Good understanding of safe food preparation and storage
• Ability to work independently and manage kitchen duties efficiently
• Reliability and punctuality

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will be responsible for preparing nutritious, child-friendly meals for children in our nursery. The menu is simple, and full training and guidance will be provided prior to starting. While previous experience working in a nursery setting is ideal, it is not essential – what matters most is reliability, a positive attitude, and the ability to work confidently in a kitchen.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and cook daily meals and snacks for children in line with nursery guidelines
• Ensure all food is prepared safely and hygienically
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and food preparation areas
• Follow allergy and dietary requirement procedures carefully
• Work with nursery staff to provide a positive mealtime experience for children
