Salary: up to £29,000
Working hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30.
We are looking for a Nursery Cook to prepare and cook nutritionally balanced meals appropriate for under-fives in accordance with the nursery’s nutritional guidance for the under-fives.

The key responsibilities are:

  • Ensure all children’s dietary needs are being met
  • Ensure high standards of hygiene & health and safety are maintained
  • Undertake daily cleaning schedule, such as mopping, sweeping, wiping surfaces, and cleaning cookers, kitchen equipment, crockery and cutlery
  • Keeping paperwork and records up to date
  • A team player with the ability to use own initiative

Your Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 1 years previous experience working within a catering environment, preferably working within early years
  • Excellent understanding of food hygiene standards and allergens.
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification
  • Knowledge and awareness of Health and Safety requirements
