OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen operations and a love for food preparation. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. This position requires an understanding of food safety practices and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Nursery cook we require knowledge and understanding of allergy requirements and that all dietary needs are met. Plan, prepare and cook nutritious age appropriate meals and snacks for children whilst keeping a clean and hygienic kitchen.

SKILLS

  • Proven experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred.
  • A warm enthusiastic and reliable cook to provide healthy & nutritious meals supporting children with varied range of dietary requirements.
  • Being able to understand the importance of dietary/allergy requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  • Excellent culinary skills with the ability to prepare various types of cuisine.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A passion for cooking and helping others enjoy great meals.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
