CONTRACT: FULL TIME, PERMANENTSALARY: 30000HOURS: 40 PER WEEK

A well-established nursery and training college in Reading, Berkshire. Catering for up to 120 students and teachers. We offer a core feeding of Breakfast/Lunch and Afternoon Snack. There is not much hospitality at this location. This is a 52 week contract and operates Monday to Friday. Additional benefit to this location is free parking on site. Monday - Friday day time only
We are looking for a talented Nursery cook to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Reading.

You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.

KNOWLEDGE / COMPETENCIES:

  • Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of food following recipe cards
  • Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • Nursery meals Lunch, light tea and snacks.
  • To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the companies brand standards
  • Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
  • Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.
  • Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
  • Excellent customer service skills
