Nursery: Bright Horizons Tudor House Day Nursery and Lavender Lodge Preschool
Salary: £29,500 - £39,000 p/a (dependant on qualification/s and experience)
Location: Burgess Hill, West Sussex
We are looking for a full time, Level 3 qualified Deputy Manager to join our Bright Horizons Nurseries, situated in the centre of Burgess Hill. This role is dual site and will be based between Bright Horizons Lavender Lodge and Bright Horizons Tudor House.
The nurseries offer a unique set up with Tudor House offering care and education for the children up to 3 years old and Lavender Lodge for 3-4 year olds who are preparing for their next step into school.
Tudor House boasts lots of original Tudor features and an extensive outside space - a home from home nursery with a long standing staff team. Lavender Lodge, situated on St Johns Park is perfect for outdoor exploration, specialises in school readiness. Children who join Tudor House naturally progress through to Lavender lodge.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education to all children in our care
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead at the nursery, holding overall responsibility for the day to day running of the nursery, and management of safeguarding and child protection policies
  • In collaboration with the Nursery Manager, contribute to succession planning, identification and delivery of relevant training, and supporting professional development plans, including coaching and mentoring for all colleagues
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the needs of each child
  • Promote the nursery to both current parents, and potential customers, to support retention and ongoing occupancy growth
  • Ensure commercial success of the nursery by maintaining expenditure inline FTEs and budget KPIs
  • Engage with the Local Authority to understand the local offer, to support practice in all areas of the nursery
