Deputy Nursery Manager – Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Location: Complete Childcare
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team at Complete Childcare. In this leadership role, you will support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality care and education for children. Your Role and ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Daily Operations

  • Assist the Nursery Manager in leading and managing the nursery team
  • Oversee staffing, room organisation, and ensure smooth daily operations
  • Maintain a welcoming, safe, and family-friendly environment for children and staff
  • Step into the Manager’s role in their absence, ensuring continuity of care and compliance

Early Years Development and Compliance

  • Ensure the nursery meets EYFS Early Years Foundation Stage requirements
  • Implement and monitor safeguarding policies, maintaining a safe space for all children
  • Keep up-to-date records of staff qualifications, DBS checks, and training
  • Support children’s learning and development by promoting best practices in early education

Strategic Planning and Policy Implementation

  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of nursery policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with OFSTED regulations, local authority guidance, and company policies
  • Work flexibly across different nursery rooms and settings as required
  • Attend staff meetings, manager meetings, parents’ evenings, and nursery events

Building Strong Relationships

  • Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to foster strong partnerships
  • Support children and families by being an approachable, friendly, and clear communicator
  • Liaise with OFSTED, local authorities, and multi-agency professionals when required

What We Are Looking ForEssential Skills and Experience

  • Level 3 or higher qualification in Early Years or Childcare
  • Experience working with children aged 0 to 5 years in a nursery setting
  • Knowledge of EYFS framework, OFSTED requirements, and safeguarding
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and support a team
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional childcare
