Description

We are seeking a Nursery Deputy Manager. Please only apply if you have a minimum level 3 childcare qualification alongside experience as a room leader or deputy.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • CACHE / NNEB/ NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ post qualification experience
  • Minimum 1 years’ management experience
  • Significant and recent experience of working with children aged 0 to 5 years.

Responsibilities

To have collaborative responsibility for creating an inclusive and positive environment where staff, children and parents can thrive.
Support Nursery Manager in overseeing operational management of the nursery under the EYFS Statutory Framework and Ofsted requirements
Ensure all company policies and procedures are correctly followed in the nursery and adhered to at all times
Ensure that the safety and welfare of children is paramount
Support with organisation of staff rota’s, manage relationships with temp agencies and bank staff and ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained in line with the nursery and Ofsted requirements
Accountable for the development, retention and happiness of the team
Risk assess daily ensuring that the team understand what is expected of them to keep everyone in the nursery safe at all times
Manage stock control and ordering process
Work on a 4 or 5 day shift pattern within the nursery’s opening hours (7am-7pm) with the ability to attend out of hours meetings and events as required
