We are a brand-new nursery that opened January 2025 and are looking for a passionate and nurturing candidate that is looking for the next step in their career.
Nature Barn Nursery is a small, modern, warm and homely nursery that provides children with love and new experiences. We are a small independent nursery, where we welcome staff to share their ideas and have input into the ethos and vision of the nursery, creating a wonderful environment for staff and children.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced candidate to be the deputy and to cover the manager’s maternity leave (salary negotiable). The candidate will help staff with ensuring the well-being and safety of children is maintained, and will ensure staff are providing a nurturing and educational environment. This is a leadership role that requires excellent communication skills, a passion for early childhood education, and the ability to effectively support the owner to lead a team. They must also be able to take on the manager role in her absence during maternity leave.

Responsibilities

-To work under the direction of the Manager and deputise for her as and when required and take on the manager role during her maternity leave
-To ensure all children are safeguarded and their welfare and safety is promoted
-To support the aims and objectives of the nursery and assist the Manager in the organisation of a high-quality establishment for children from birth to five years
-To provide high standards of care and early learning – to include the monitoring and review of provision, this includes providing a safe, caring environment to enable the personal, emotional, social and educational development of children, through individual attention and group activities
-To support the team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop
-To direct and support staff as agreed by the Manager and owner.
