Job Summary This is a general labor position with multiple job duties essential to the Operations/Nursery division. In this role you will be responsible for the task of ensuring vegetative plant health to provide the customer with the best possible product. Duties will include filling, planting, and growing modules, stacking modules for orders, loading/unloading trucks, irrigation maintenance and repair, fertilizing, hand weeding and any other task assigned. Duties & Functions Overseeing and directing the day-to-day work of a team of nursery technicians Filling, Planting and Growing Go over the daily work schedule with the Nursery Foreman each morning. Fill modules with soil, plant with tile, plugs or cuttings using proper planting methods. Fertilizing, weeding, watering, and inspecting plant condition. Stacking, Loading and Unloading Lifting and stacking modules onto pallets for shipping. Loading trucks by hand, skid steer or forklift. Unloading trucks by hand, skid steer or forklift. Other Duties & Functions Always represent Greenrise in a professional manner. Complete work to a high standard of excellence and Greenrise Technologies quality. Follow safety protocols pertaining to vehicles, equipment or site conduct as instructed. Communicate effectively with managers and crew members. Able to work on your own and with fellow crew members to achieve daily and weekly goals. Ensure tools and equipment are inspected, maintained, and stored properly. Requirements Qualifications & Standards Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A valid driver’s license (preferred) Experience working with hand tools, skid steers and forklifts (preferred) Experience working with plants or in a nursery (preferred) Physically fit and able to work long days outside in the elements. Reliable and punctual attendance Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project challenges. Ability to listen and follow directions. Attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organizational skills. Individuals must be dependable, have good interpersonal skills, flexibility, and the ability to interact and communicate with associates at all levels. Must be able to multi-task and handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities in a professional, prompt manner. Must be able to work independently, utilizing good judgement and take initiative to complete tasks. Must have demonstrated initiative to complete responsibilities.
