JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Knowledgeable and enthusiastic Nursery Key Worker to join a fast paced nursery school in Sunderland SR4.
Our ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. This role involves providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, facilitating their development through engaging activities and play. You will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the nursery setting.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in English to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Experience in childcare or early childhood education is imperative.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage activities and guide children effectively.
  • Ability to drive initiatives that enhance children’s learning experiences.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage daily tasks efficiently.
  • A nurturing attitude towards children with the ability to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and engage with children in various activities to promote their physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that encourage learning through play.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive community.
  • Manage daily routines, including meal times and outdoor play.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by following health and safety regulations.
  • Observe and record children’s progress, providing feedback to parents as necessary.
  • Support the leadership team in implementing nursery policies and procedures.
