KITCHEN ASSISTANT – PART-TIME (5 DAYS/WEEK – 15 HOURS)

At Green Shoots Day Nursery, we are a warm, family-like setting with a caring and supportive atmosphere. We are currently seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our wonderful team.
We care for children aged 6 months to 5 years and provide a rich, stimulating learning environment. Our nursery is inclusive and committed to helping both children and staff grow, thrive, and feel a strong sense of belonging.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We work in partnership with Nursery Kitchen, who deliver healthy, nutritious lunches for our children. We are now looking for a Kitchen Assistant to help ensure meals are served safely and hygienically.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times
• Carry out daily and routine cleaning of kitchen equipment, surfaces, floors, fridge, storage areas, and cupboards, as directed by the Nursery Manager
• Complete daily kitchen risk assessments
• Wash up and keep kitchenware clean
• Clean the oven and fridge regularly
• Help prepare and present food for children in a safe and timely manner
