JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Lunch Time Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children. The hours for this post are 11am-2pm Monday to Friday, on an all year round basis.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
  • A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with children and parents.
  • Experience in management or leadership roles within a childcare environment is beneficial.

  • Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery environment, including toys and learning materials.
  • Support children in their daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and personal hygiene.
  • Observe children’s behaviour and development, providing feedback to senior staff as necessary.
