JOB SUMMARY

The Lunchtime supervisor will oversee delivering the lunches to the children daily, understanding the importance of good table manners, dietary needs, and allergies. some light cleaning duties such as cleaning the tables.
Food Hygiene & First aid training will be given.
A Term time role will be considered

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience when delivering meals to children
  • Some understanding of childhood development principles and best practices in teaching young children.
  • Knowledge of children’s sleeping patterns
  • Some knowledge of cooking although full training will be given
  • First aid certification is essential; training will be given
  • Background in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and staff members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Fun & happy disposition.
  • 2 references are required, 1 must be from your most recent employer
  • DBS clearance is essential the setting can obtain this for you

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support the children in serving their food.
  • Make lunchtimes fun
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
  • Deliver food to children with allergies and dietary requirements
  • stand in for the chef to prepare and cook the food when she is away
  • promote social, emotional, and physical development among the children.
  • Manage the environment ensuring it is safe & clean
  • Manage the safer sleeping arrangements for some children
  • Complete sleep rotas
