Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational, educational, and strategic excellence of the setting. You’ll be leading a passionate team to deliver high-quality early years education and care while ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for every child.
We are looking for someone with meticulous attention to detail, a growth mindset, and the confidence to work autonomously while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This is more than just a management role - it’s an opportunity to take full ownership of the nursery’s performance, identity, and future.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, support, and inspire a high-performing team to deliver exceptional early years practice in line with EYFS.
  • Own the day-to-day running of the nursery, including staffing, occupancy, financial management, and compliance.
  • Ensure the setting consistently exceeds Ofsted and statutory requirements in all areas.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, staff, and the local community.
  • Champion a culture of safeguarding, inclusion, and excellence across the nursery.
  • Design and oversee a rich, engaging curriculum tailored to each child’s needs and interests.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members to continually raise standards and grow their skills.
