OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a solid background in early childhood education and experience working with children. As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment that promotes the development and well-being of all children in our care.

SKILLS

  • Proven management experience within a nursery or similar childcare setting.
  • Strong leadership abilities to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Experience working with children in a childcare or educational capacity.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Welsh preferred both verbal and written, to effectively engage with parents, staff, and children.
  • Ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages children’s curiosity and learning. Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, site, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in childcare.
  • Lead, mentor, and support nursery staff to foster a positive team environment and enhance professional development.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that encourage children’s learning and growth.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents, providing updates on their child’s progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and supplies to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
  • Conduct regular assessments of children’s development and implement strategies to support individual needs.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children at all times.
  • Work with the senior team to actively market the nursery and it’s related enterprises to ensure their effectiveness.
