QUALIFICATIONS

Nursery: min 5-7 years nursery experience (Preferred)
Management: 5 years or More

REQUIREMENTS

  • Recent experience working either as a Nursery Manager or as a Nursery Deputy Manager in a Nursery.
  • Level 3 Diploma for Childcare (or equivalent qualification).

Responsibilities

PURPOSE

  • Ensuring a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual education and care for children at our Nursery.
  • Supervision of and support to the other personnel within the nursery thereby implementing high standards of quality practices.
  • The day-to-day management of the nursery including marketing and administration.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Be aware of and act in accordance with current legislation, policies and procedures
  • Overall responsibility for health and safety of children and staff in the workplace.
  • Ensure that children with additional needs achieve full inclusion within the nursery.
  • To ensure that each child is receiving a high standard of care and that their needs as an individual are being met.
  • Working in partnership with parents/carers and other family members
  • Developing links with the wider community.
  • Liaising with Ofsted and other professional bodies associated with the nursery.
  • Market and advertise the nursery as necessary to ensure the nursery runs to its full capacity.
    This job description works alongside those of all other personnel. The nursery manager’s responsibility is to ensure that the staff team are working to their full potential.
