REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education (or equivalent/higher)
  • Valid First Aid Certification
  • Proven experience as a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and Ofsted regulations
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and IT skills
  • A track record of achieving a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating

SALARY:

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery
  • Ensure a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment in line with EYFS, Ofsted, safeguarding, and local authority requirements
  • Manage the nursery’s operations, financials, and KPIs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with children, parents, staff, and external partners
  • Ensure consistently high standards of care and education
  • Lead and support staff training, development, and performance management
  • Monitor staffing levels, manage rotas, and approve leave requests
  • Ensure adherence to all nursery policies and procedures, updating as needed
  • Conduct and oversee risk assessments and health & safety checks
  • Maintain accurate records for children and staff
  • Prepare for and lead successful Ofsted inspections
