About the Role:
This is an exciting fixed-term leadership opportunity to join our Safari family as Nursery Manager while our current manager is on maternity leave.
You’ll take the reins of the day-to-day running of the nursery — ensuring high-quality care and education, supporting your team, and building trusted relationships with families. With support from our Area Managers, you’ll continue the brilliant work already in place and help us keep growing strong.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading and supporting a team of early years professionals with positivity and purpose
  • Acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) – keeping children safe, always
  • Maintaining full compliance with all EYFS, Ofsted and health & safety standards
  • Overseeing admin duties, including registers, staffing rotas, and family communication
  • Supporting staff wellbeing, appraisals, supervisions and day-to-day HR
  • Using nursery software such as EY Works, EY Log, EY Manage, EY Engage, and People Bunch
  • Working with the senior leadership team to ensure smooth continuity throughout the maternity cover period

What We’re Looking For:

  • Level 3 qualification (minimum) in Early Years (Level 5 or working towards – desirable)
  • Previous nursery leadership or deputy experience
  • Confident and experienced DSL with up-to-date safeguarding knowledge
  • Strong administrative and digital confidence using nursery systems and tools
  • A team player who leads by example and brings joy, structure, and clarity to the team
  • Someone who can hit the ground running and bring stability and care to the setting

Start Date: September 2025 – Maternity cover position expected to last up to 12 months
