Gooseberry Bush Day Nursery is seeking a passionate and organised Qualified Early Years Pratitioner to join our friendly team. If you love working with children and would like to be part of a positive, nurturing nursery environment, we would love to hear from you.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A valid Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Childcare
  • Previous experience working within the Early Years sector
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Completion of specific training courses.
  • A passion for supporting children to learn and develop.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with children and parents.
  • Leadership and management abilities to oversee nursery operations.
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
  • Proficiency in English.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and develop rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, that helps all children to develop, and meets their individual needs
  • Provide high-quality care and education to children in a nursery setting, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Make accurate and effective assessments, which reflect the needs, interests, and stages of each child, through supporting the delivery of the key person approach
  • Develop and implement engaging activities that promote early childhood learning and development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and needs.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and nurturing environment.
  • Assist in daily nursery operations and undertake staff training and development.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO UNDERTAKE AN ENHANCED DBS DISCLOSURE. PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS AN OFFENCE TO APPLY FOR A ROLE IN REGULATED ACTIVITY IF BARRED FROM WORKING WITH CHILDREN.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £20,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
