Reports to: Pre-Veg Supervisor
The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual who displays strong attention to detail, has excellent organizational skills and can maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast paced and changing work environment. The ideal candidate can work well alone and within a strong team environment

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to take directions.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Physically fit, ability to meet physical demands including reaching, bending, walking, standing and performing repetitive work.
  • Comfortable working in adverse conditions. i.e. height, heat, high intensity lighting.
  • Fall arrest training would be considered an asset.
  • Work in a fast-paced facility
  • Flexibility to work shift work as required.
  • Other duties as may be required.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform daily safety inspections on lifts in the Pre-Veg rooms.
  • Determine the correct recipe for each watering.
  • Prepare flood tables/drip lines for watering.
  • Execute distribution of water to Pre-Veg & Overstock plants.
  • Monitor the plants by taking moisture reading.
  • Verify watering has happened properly.
  • Enter watering data into Organigrow.
  • Completing various pot up tasks (clones, overstock, etc) such as dispensing soil, properly labelling batches.
  • Complete room loads into pre-veg rooms and properly insert irrigation spikes to ensure ideal watering conditions are met.
  • Execute calendar work orders.
  • Communicate tank levels if low to team and irrigation techs.
  • Keep Pre-Veg rooms and in irrigation areas tidy, reporting to shift lead if cleanliness is not satisfactory.
  • Immediately report any damage within or around the Pre-Veg rooms & pot up room to supervisor.
  • Monitor for deficiencies/plant heath abnormalities: reporting anything to shift lead.
  • Monitor for presence and severity of IPM threats in Pre-Veg & Overstock rooms; reporting anything to shift lead.
  • Assist other crews when necessary.
  • Support training of new employees that join the crew.
  • Keep boards and other means of communication up to date and accurate.
