JOB DESCRIPTION

Achievers Day Nursery is a purpose built nursery with facilities that create a stimulating environment for all children. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent standards of care and education, whilst encouraging good family values. We are looking to recruit experienced and motivated individuals.
The successful candidate will have worked in a similar setting before , being able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of caring for babies and children. Most importantly you will show a real passion for childcare, be self-driven and be able to contribute positively with original and creative ideas.
We offer excellent benefits including a performance bonus monthly up to £80pm and offer paid for training and development opportunities. We offer a permanent contract with regular and fixed hours too.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of NVQ 3 in Childcare, or equivalent
• Experience of working in a nursery setting
• Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
• First aid at work, safeguarding and food hygiene qualifications are desirable
• Excellent knowledge of childcare coupled with a positive outlook

• Maintain an up to date knowledge of the EYFS
• Be vigilant and take action to ensure a safe environment for children
• Ensure children’s needs and well being as a priority
• Plan fun, original, creative and challenging activities for children
• Complete comprehensive learning and development records
• Be a Key Worker for children including liaising with parents and completing observations
• Be reflective and take personal responsibility for CPD
