Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a key group of children, providing attentive, nurturing care and documenting their developmental progress.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with children, families, and the wider nursery team.
  • Ensure full compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures, promoting children’s safety and well-being at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the overall smooth running and success of the nursery.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification
  • A clean enhanced DBS check (arranged by Flower Pots Day Nursery upon appointment)
  • A genuine passion for early years education and nurturing young children
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding practices and commitment to maintaining a safe environment
  • Excellent organisation, planning, and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A creative, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to promoting children’s learning and development
