Our setting is situated in the Holly Trees Family Hub , and has been established for over 19 years. The nursery ethos is to ensure children are safe, secure and that their individual needs are met to develop their learning, while maintaining positive relationships with the adults caring for them. We pride ourselves on being a home from home, making the nursery a warm and welcoming place for all the children and families, developing close bonds and connections.
The position is for 37.5 hrs per week. This is an all round year post. The hourly rate will be be between £10.00-£12.21
To support staff health and wellbeing we offer wellbeing breaks for times when needed and accommodate time to attend appointments when we can.
The suitable person will need to have a level 3 qualification in Early Years. Experience with children aged 0-5 years in a nursery setting is desirable. Newly qualified may be considered. A good knowledge of the EYFS is required and some experience in planning for children’s next steps and interests is ideal. We are an inclusive setting that supports children with additional needs therefore experience working with children with SEND would be a advantage.
Ideally the candidate should be registered on the DBS update service, if not they will be required to complete a new DBS and register with the update service.
It is essential that the person has good communication skills with parents and outside agencies , a fun and vibrant personality and the ability to be work effectively as part of a team and under the direction of the room supervisor and management team.
All applicants need to have Paediatric First Aid training. Safeguarding and food hygiene training are desirable, as we have an excellent online training programme available for all staff.
Uniform is provided.
Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the nursery. To work between the hours of 8-6 Monday-Friday.
We are looking for the candidate to start from September( possibly earlier)
Experience of working with children aged 0-5 years essential. This could include training and placement experience.
