Job Title: Nursery Practitioner within our Pink Piglets
Location: Quinton, Northamptonshire
Company: Davey Day Care - Private Day Nursery
Are you passionate about providing exceptional care for infants and toddlers? Davey Day Care, a reputable Private Day Nursery located in Quinton, Northamptonshire.
A well-established Nursery located in a rural area not far from Northampton, is expanding our team and looking for Nursery Practitioners to work within our Pre-School team. Our beautiful setting in a converted Grade II Listed farmhouse and old dairy, places heavy emphasis on a ‘home from home’ environment, with high quality care and exceptional grounds for children to explore. We pride themselves on low ratios, expansive space, and low staff turnover.
Ideally you will have a Level 3 NVQ in Early Years or Childcare, with previous experience working in a nursery. In return, along with a salary of up to £24,700 will also receive a range of benefits including childcare, a pension scheme, employee discount, an employee mentoring programme, free parking, and a referral scheme.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A NURSERY PRACTITIONER WHO HAS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ideally hold a Level 3 NVQ in Early Years or Childcare, or hold previous experience in a similar position
  • Be passionate about working with young children and possess a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special
  • Must be able to laugh at jokes you don’t understand, or you don’t find funny!
  • Pretending to eat playdough creations realistically is required, and that of drinking numerous cups of pretend tea.
  • Must also have the ability to read a fairy tale upside down with at least 4 interruptions per page
  • You must be prepared to have lots of fun in the workplace. Laughter is something you can expect for a large part of your working day
  • Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special, and important to many young children and their families. There is simply no other job quite like this one.
Our setting is like no other nursery, we are dedicated not only to the children and parents but to the right applicant. Personal development is encouraged, and we are keen to invest in your future.
This position is available as a full-time position of 40 hours per week over 4 set days. The nursery would also consider term time only for the right candidate.
You must either hold or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
