SKILLS

• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
• Patience and understanding to handle various behaviors and emotions of young children
• Creativity to develop engaging activities that promote learning and development
• Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with other nursery practitioners
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
• A high standard of numeracy and literacy skills
• Thorough knowledge of the EYFS Framework and curriculum

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Full and Relevant Level 3 Qualification in Childcare
• Paediatric First Aid
• Safeguarding
• Food Hygiene

EXPERIENCE DESIRABLE:

• Experience of working in a school/ nursery environment
• Keyworking experience
• Competency in an additional language
• Experience working with children under 5 years with SEND

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
• Supervise and engage children during playtime, meals, and rest periods
• Monitor children’s development and behavior, and communicate with parents or guardians as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the nursery area
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all children
