Job Title: Level 3 Nursery Practitioner (Childcare / Early Years)

Job Type: Full-Time (4 days/week, 10-hour shifts – 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM)

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our nurturing childcare team in Billericay. The ideal candidate will hold a full and relevant Level 3 (or above) Early Years/Childcare qualification and have a minimum of two years’ experience in a nursery or childcare setting.
This role is perfect for a dedicated childcare professional who is passionate about early childhood development and providing high-quality care to young children. Experience in medication rounds and a background in nursing home care will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding care and education to children in line with the EYFS framework.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities to support children’s learning and development.
• Ensure safeguarding and welfare policies are followed at all times.
• Administer medication (where required) and maintain accurate records.
• Work closely with parents and carers to support children’s progress.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating nursery environment.

• Support children with additional needs where necessary.

  Essential Requirements:

• Level 3 (or higher) Early Years/Childcare qualification (Full & Relevant).

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner (or similar role).
• Knowledge of medication administration in a childcare setting.
• Previous experience in a nursing home or elderly care setting is desirable.
• Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  Desirable Skills (Not Essential):

• Experience working in a nursing home or care home environment.

• Background in healthcare, nursing (RGN, RMN, RNLD), or clinical support roles.

• Additional training in pediatric first aid, SEN, or child protection.
