We are looking for a Nursery Assistant to join our team at our busy nursery in Basingstoke. The role is 40 or 45 hours a week, working between the hours of 7:15am and 6:30pm.
Experience in working with children would be an advantage but we are happy to offer support and training to the right candidate.
After 6 months there is an opportunity to receive £1000 from a government incentive scheme - T’s & C’s apply

Working in a team your working day will be varied, busy and fun, consisting of the following:

• Operate a programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in your room in conjunction with other staff
• To keep on-line learning journals and developmental records up to date on your key children
• Support all staff and work well in a team
• To ensure that you have read and understand Little Me Day Nurseries policies and procedures and where necessary seek guidance from the Nursery Manager
• Liaise with and support parents/carers and other family members
• Ensure that the nursery offers an environment which reflects the cultural diversity of all children
• To be involved in out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, fundraising events
• To be flexible within working practices of the Setting. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the Setting, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment etc.
• Ensure all daily paper work is completed including registers, sleep charts, nappy charts and risk assessments;
• Maintain at all times the highest standard of cleanliness and tidiness within the nursery
• To develop your role within the team especially with regard as a key worker

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will be expected to undertake an enhanced DBS check and provide two satisfactory references, ideally one from their last employer
