Description

An opportunity has arisen to join the team at Mighty Oaks Day Nursery & Preschool due to accelerated expansion.
Set within 65 glorious acres of land within the Bournemouth University Sports Campus, we offer a multitude of benefits for the right candidate. Having come under new ownership in November 2020, the nursery has grown steadily with future bookings confirmed until next June already. To meet these needs, we are looking for an experienced, qualified nursery practitioner to join our team as soon as possible. The nursery was judged to be Good across the board in its most recent inspection earlier this year.
You must have a sound knowledge of the EYFS and be an organised individual with the enthusiasm and passion needed to work with young children and their families. It would be advantageous if you have had prior experience of working with babies.
The nursery is open Monday to Friday from 8am - 6pm and the successful individual will need to offer flexibility to meet the needs of the nursery.

The preferred qualities needed for this role are :

  • Good team player (we are a very close knit team, often referring to ourselves as a family)
  • Initiative
  • Self-motivation
  • A good understanding of child development and how to support children with differing needs
  • A friendly, loving, approachable and warm manner
  • Able to use a child centred teaching / learning approach
  • IT literate

You will be contracted to work upto 40 hours per week with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours. The nursery is open for 51 weeks of the year.
Perks of the job include a paid day off for your birthday, 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, free on site parking, access to a staff room, a wide range of CPD opportunities, contributory pension scheme, supportive and nurturing environment, staff discount, opportunities for ongoing development and added responsibility, Christmas party and some paid overtime.
This organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Background checks, references and an enhanced DBS will be required prior to employment.
