LEVEL 3 OR LEVEL 2 NURSERY NURSE REQUIRED – COMPETITIVE SALARY

We now have an exciting new opportunity for a Level 2 or level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse at our successful nursery in Rainham, Essex.
Our 29 place nursery is proudly rated as “Outstanding” by Ofsted. We have fantastic staff team along with lovely families who all play a part in making this a wonderful nursery to be part of. We offer three bright and spacious rooms. Our stunning outdoor play area features a mud kitchen, growing area and space for the children to run freely

What we require
This is a permanent role, to work 40 hours a week, between the hours of 8am – 6pm, Monday – Friday on a shift basis.

  • Work experience within the Early Years sector.

  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE :

· Sound knowledge of EYFS.
· Sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
· Commitment to equal opportunities and an ability to work effectively with young children and their families.

· Good communication skills with a positive willingness to learn and develop and be part of a kind, caring and enthusiastic team.
· Enthusiastic and motivated
· Able to communicate clearly with adults and children using a variety of techniques (oral and in writing)
· Ability to build trust and develop cohesive working relationships with colleagues
· Able to manage workload and manage time effectively
· Excellent team player
· Relevant Child Care Qualification.

NURSERY NURSE ROLE:

· Consistently deliver and plan exciting learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps all children to develop and meet their individual needs.
· Make accurate and effective assessments, which reflect the needs, interests and stages of development of the child by supporting the delivery of the key person approach.
· Ensuring an enabling environment is providing consistent stimulating and inspiring activities for the children in both the indoor and outdoor area as a continuous provision.
· Ensure that British Values are incorporated and demonstrated through Early Years Foundation Stage learning and play.
· Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children in line with our child protection and keeping everyone safe by abiding by the policies and procedures.
· Ensure internal policies and procedures are adhered to whilst also meeting the external legislation and guidelines from our governing bodies.
· Promote and follow guidelines implemented for managing behaviour including supporting children to manage their own feelings and behaviours.
· Continually work in partnership with colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of the children ensuring a diverse and inclusive approach is maintained at all times.
· Ensure nursery records are kept up to date and confidential.
· To provide support for your colleagues within the nursery and across the broader business when required.
· Attend meetings and courses as required.
