Description

Job summary: To work as a key person and as part of the early years team at our Rocking Horse Day Nursery, based in Broughton.
The role is for 30-40 hours per week, all year round.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting
  • Strong background in early childhood education
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children and parents
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and management skills in a nursery environment
  • Relevant certifications in childcare or early childhood education preferred
  • Valid driver’s license is a plus for transportation needs

Responsibilities
  • Planning, preparing and delivering quality teaching opportunities using the CIW framework effectively, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation within a safe and caring environment.
  • To act as a key person to a group of children, liaising closely with parents/carers maintaining strong partnerships and communication ensuring that the individual needs and interests of children in the setting are met (in conjunction with other team members) .
  • To ensure the provision of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children having an awareness of any disabilities, family cultures and medical histories. Familiarising yourself with relevant play and learning intervention plans that are in place.
  • To be flexible within working practices of the setting, undertaking other responsible duties where needed, such as domestic tasks, preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment, etc ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met, Monitoring and maintaining a healthy, safe and secure working environment at all times..
  • To work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the setting’s philosophy is fulfilled.
  • Support all staff and engage in a good staff team.
  • Undertake appropriate and relevant training.
  • To attend and be involved in staff meetings on a regular basis.
