Job Description:
We’re on the lookout for a Nursery Room Leader working with children aged 2-3 years to join our close-knit team. If you’re someone who’s passionate about early childhood education and loves working with children, you’re in the right place! In this role, you’ll be leading by example, inspiring our educators, and creating memorable learning experiences for our children.
The position is full time, working all year round for approx. 40 hours per week.
The nursery is open weekdays 08:00am – 17:30pm and is closed on all Bank holidays and the Christmas to New Year period.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of up to 3 practitioners with kindness and enthusiasm, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Run the 2-3 year old class of up to 18 children per day
Plan and deliver engaging activities that ignite children’s imaginations and encourage their natural curiosity.
Build strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed about their child’s progress and achievements.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure our nursery continues to grow and evolve with a focus on quality improvement.
Attend regular team meetings to collaborate on curriculum planning, quality improvement initiatives, and staff development.
Run meetings for your room team
Required Qualifications:
A Level 3 qualification or higher in Early Childhood Education (or a related field) is required.
Experience working in a nursery or pre school setting
On hiring, subject to a DBS check
Preferred Qualifications:
Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification.
An ideal candidate will have:
Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for working with children
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow as part of a supportive team.
Experience with special needs children.
Leadership experience
Familiarity with regulatory requirements for early childhood education settings.
Be willing to start in August/September 2025; however, we would be able to offer the position to start earlier if required.
