Parker Smith Inclusion is proud to be working in partnership with a school-based nursery to recruit a dedicated and passionate Nursery SENCo. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced early years professional to lead on inclusive practice, ensuring children with additional needs receive the highest quality support.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Nursery SENCo, you will play a key role in creating a fully inclusive environment where every child is valued and supported. You will work closely with staff, families, and external professionals to coordinate effective provision for children with SEND.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and support children with additional needs in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
• Develop and implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and contribute to EHCP processes.
• Lead and advise staff on inclusive practice and differentiation strategies.
• Liaise with external professionals, including speech and language therapists, educational psychologists, and SEN advisory teams.
• Support staff in monitoring and assessing children’s progress and maintaining accurate records.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with families.
