Are you a passionate and qualified Nursery Teacher or Level 3 Practitioner? Our outstanding nursery in Godalming is looking for a dedicated and creative individual to join our vibrant team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the early years education and development of the children in our care.
We are seeking either an experienced Early Years Practitioner with a Level 3 qualification or a Nursery Teacher who is committed to delivering the highest standard of child care and education through engaging, play-based learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality, exciting activities that follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Act as a Key Person for a group of children, monitoring their progress, and building strong, supportive relationships with parents and carers.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes each child’s development and well-being.
• Observe and assess children’s learning and development, maintaining accurate records and learning journals.
• Work without supervision as part of a dedicated team, using your initiative to support children’s individual needs and interests.
• Work in partnership with the Nursery Manager and colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the room and the wider nursery setting.

• Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, health, and safety at all times.

  Essential Requirements:

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce). For Teacher roles, relevant EYTS/PGCE/equivalent is required.

• Proven experience as a Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or Nursery Teacher.
• A solid understanding and working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• A genuine passion for child care and early childhood development.
• Ability to work without supervision and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  Desirable Skills:

• Previous experience in a similar nursery setting.

• Paediatric First Aid certificate.
• Strong ability to plan engaging and educational activities.

• A creative, enthusiastic, and nurturing approach.
