Description The Arc Madison Cortland is looking for a dedicated individual Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, no weekends! SUMMARY: Nursing Administrative Assistant provides essential clerical and operations support to the Director of Nursing and the nursing department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assists with updating and tracking appointments, lab work and the results thereof. Assist Director of Nursing with updating/reviewing policies and procedures. Organize policy and procedure manuals, assist with procedure updates, and regulatory documentation. Works in conjunction with Nursing department in implementing medical policies and procedures in accordance with OPWDD regulations. Completes review of medical reports and Medical Record (MAR) documentation, making RN aware of missing documentation or discrepancies. Six months medical office experience preferably within the developmental disabilities or healthcare setting; or a combination of education and experience that exceeds the above standards of the reviewing agency.
